Plates
Architects, Engineers, Plumbing Engineers (PE), fire suppression designers, and specifiers provide the direction within the design package for Halcyon Assembly™ (plates, plate and elbow, or single unit) design. Often the application and attachment design to the fire water tank will dictate the choice of the Halcyon Assembly™. With manufactured products that exist in the marketplace today exceeding thirteen feet in plate diameter, these types of applications will also warrant the type of material that is used to manufacture the finished product; PE-100, galvanized mild steel, or stainless steel. Units like these are used in existing and new build projects, and attached to steel bolted above ground tanks, welded steel tanks, fiber reinforced tanks (FRP), concrete, polymer, and even wooden water tanks throughout the world. They are a standard for all National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 22) tanks throughout the globe. Clients can choose adding stainless steel mesh to the PE-100 models depending on use and application on plates.
